Before you open your doors you will need initial supplies in order to do so. These can be sure food staples, spices, etc. That will be used with just about any order that you get in. You can buy most of these items wholesale, but their costs should be factored in.

Another catering business start up fee you may encounter is for accountants, lawyers or even service staff. Price out the costs of these or factor in the costs of them if you have already hired these services. You can use temp agencies for serving staff as well until you are able to afford a full-time staff.

Extra Funds
Even though you have all of the costs written down, you will still want to have money set aside for any unforeseen costs. These can be due to inflation, extra business, lack of staffing, etc.
